Lord of the Rings

• It's got a dark background to make it look ominous
• It has no title which bring interest about what the movie is about.
• The font uses serif to make it look like it comes from old times but it look fantasy like as well.

The Matrix

• The code looks like rain to make it look dark.
• The font for the title uses serif but the text looks fractured as if it's a bug in an computer. This gives it a futuristic effect.
• The date is turned into a tagline. This gives the feeling of being immersive.

 

The Hunger Games

• It gives off warm colours but it sort of mesmerizes you.
• The title uses a mixture of san serif and 3d font to give off a modern feeling to it.
• Some of the girl in the poster is replaced with fire. This shows the main character could be a strong and feisty female character figure. This may be to attract a female audience as well as a male one.
